YMR FM: Undiscovered Monthly Feature – Vaudeville Smash
To kick off the band feature, we going with a recent fave of ours from Melbourne called Vaudeville Smash. We’ve been big fans of these guys in recent times and they’re about to hit the road with the launch of their new single in preparation for an album launch in early 2013 and a SXSW bombardment. However, it’s all under wraps at the moment and due to be launched very very soon (when we’ll add it to the rotation). In the meantime, we’ve added a couple of their classics ‘Hey’ and ‘Roller Disco’.
So who are Vaudeville Smash and why should you be listening to them? Well, Vaudeville Smash began with 3 brothers, an intense love of good music and a desire to give the kids something they’d never seen or heard before. Melodies, harmonise, infuriatingly catchy hooks (so true) and feet tapping beats. On their new single and album, they’ve teamed up with renowned and ARIA Award nominee John Castle who produced Washington & The Bamboos and it is fair to say that the future looks good. However, we want it to look better…golden in fact.
