Yes yes yes! Thief takes his bouncy poppy track ‘Closer’ and strips it back into Bon Iver territory. This version is probably destined to gain far more attention than the original mix. This is definitely the YMR track of the week.
This is a bare your soul kind of moment and puts some serious talent on show from Thief. Dare I say this is Gotye meets Sting meets Phil Collins stuff? Either way, this is awesome and puts a whole new spin on this track. If this had strings layered over it, it would be damn near perfect.
