We lost Mac Miller earlier in the year and it was a tragedy in many ways, including the fact that his new material was absolutely stellar and certain to project him on a bigger stage. 

‘What’s the Use?’ was one of our favourites of the year from the moment we heard it.  It deserves to be here at #95 in our top 100 for the year and stands on its own two feet very strongly indeed (i.e. it’s not in here as a token Mac Miller gesture for the year – no sir!). Although it does remind me vocally of Dr Teeth from The Muppets.
