Monogem – Take It Slow

unnamed

Monogem fires back with her latest glossy synth pop anthem “Take It Slow,” sliding effortlessly with its slinking beat, ethereal synths, and the singer’s smokey alto, as she coos “Let the night come in, turn the lights down low, I feel it on my skin, let the time just go.”

And just as her candid melody dissolves into a two-part harmony, the track slips the listener its glorious earworm of a chorus, as she ponders to her lover, “Can we take it slow / can you take it slow with me tonight?” But it’s the glistening, smoke-break of a bridge where the tune’s true power lies, as whirling synths and a rolling drumline elevate the amorous undertones to new heights, as she whispers, repeating “all night long.”
