Gold to the ears we say!!! That’s what the remixes of The Rapture’s ‘Sail Away’ are. Bliss to the drums of the ear by Cut Copy, Cosmic Kids and Aeroplane. A remix line up of absolute quality!!!
DFA Records have slipped out some remixes of this track by Cut Copy, Aeroplane and Cosmic Kids and it’s a dead heat on which track has been remixed the best. Cut Copy have gone for the upbeat happy clappy remix style of old that they do just so well. Aeroplane have taken the track into a more instrumental floor filler of uplifting joy which works so well. The extra keyboards are pretty special. Cosmic Kids have given us a chilled out balearic space disco remix that so compliments the other mixes.
It’s a rare one when all of the remixes you get are exceptional but that’s definitely the case with this one. There’s a bit of a buzz going off on the Cut Copy remix at the moment, but we’re swaying to the stripped back Cosmic Kids mix. You could definitely sail away on a sunset to their mix that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Cafe Mambo mixtape.
