At Your Music Radar, we’ve always been about being the place to hear good music first and we are ringing in 2026 with a bang as we are celebrating 15 years of taste making this year.
Founded in 2011, we were originally based in Melbourne and in more recent times we’ve moved to an even bigger smoke across to Sydney. We’ve spent 15 years dedicated to supporting emerging artists and helping them reach a wider audience. and to bring you the best in music that might otherwise fly under your radar.

Over the years, we’ve evolved from simply sharing great tunes to becoming a platform that champions unsigned artists, bands, and DJs and we’ve gotten ahead of the curve before they were mainstream and backed some great artists and bands since their inception.
Some highlights of bands and artists that we were on the money from and supported (most of which were direct emailing and banter before getting signed or ones we caught in tiny tiny venues across the globe) include: The Chainsmokers, The Crystal Fighters, Kygo, Matoma, Tourist, Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha, Banks, R3hab, The 1975, Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean, Hayden James, Peking Duk, Close Counters, Gryffin, Leon Bridges, Alice Ivy, Set Mo, Throttle, Vaudeville Smash, Touch Sensitive, Amyl & The Sniffers and many many more…
There are way too many people to choose from, so we started a playlist of our favourite tracks. It turns out that it isn’t as easy as you think to do that for 15 years. We got it down to an initial playlist of 2000 songs over 125 hrs and subsequently into a YMR15 Best of Playlist of 450+ songs over 30 hrs. On shuffle, it is probably one of the best playlists we’ve done. However, if you think that is hard, try and whittle it down to 20 tracks that we will be putting on two volumes of double vinyl as a commemorative edition to celebrate 15 years of gold.
On top of the vinyl, we’ll also be doing some interviews and chats with some of our favourite artists we’ve featured. Watch this space!
