Madonna (feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.) – Give Me All Your Luvin’ / Revolver

Hmmmm.  Not sure about these tracks at all.  On one hand you’ve got a stellar artist listing (on paper) for the track ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ but as far as the quality of the track goes,  the jury is out here.  Not that it matters though as it will probably be downloaded, streamed and searched for a gazillion times after the Superbowl.

As far as David Guetta’s One Love Remix of ‘Revolver’, that is a different story.  Definitely a good track.  A track that was probably already written and you could slot any singer into the vocal slot and would be a hit.  Although the lyric where revolver is split into “revolver…volver…volver” sounds like she’s singing about her lower bits (think about what sounds like volver if you don’t get it).  Probably not un-deliberate on her part(s).

So, it’s 50 / 50 vote on these tracks here.  If the new album is like the track ‘Revolver’ then it might be a Ray Of Light kind/Confessions kind of album.  If it’s like ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’, then we’re talking American Life all over again.

I’m sure the live slot at the Superbowl will gloss over everything and when her concert ticket sales are announced straight after half time, people won’t care about the new stuff, it will be the old tracks that they’ll be lining up to get tickets for.

*** Note to reader: Revolver isn’t a new track but it’s one that is going great guns online at the moment and we hope the new album is more like it than the new track, hence we’ve shared it with you and commented in the new track post.  Just in case there is any further confusion. Ta.  ***

  1. My thinking is the opposite of yours concerning the new album–I think “Revolver” is a generic afterthought of a song, and if the new album has the same song we’re in for another plodding “Hard Candy”-esque grasp for relevance. If, however, it sounds like the fun fresh “Give Me All Your Luvin” (which sound clips seem to point to), I think we have a great new album on our hands.

  2. Revolver is off her most recent greatest hits album ‘Celebration’. This remix is actually quite old now and is not apart of the new ‘MDNA’ album.

  3. How would Give Me All your Luvin have ANYTHING to do with American Life? You’re comparing a care free dance track to her most introspective album.
