If there is one thing we have learned at YMR, it’s that breakout artists need an awesome remix and a damn good cover track up there sleeve to help them on their way to cracking it. Owl Eyes already has a fine cover in the bag with ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ and now this quality remix from Giraffage has dropped!

It is a perfect combo. Owl Eyes doing here awesome thing with ‘Closure’ from her new album Nightswim and Giraffage doing his remix thing with some exquisite beat action hitting the mark (as always).

If you follow artists on soundcloud like we do, it is always a joy when a remix of proportions like this drops into your inbox from afar.

We caught Giraffage live in Austin at SXSW this year. I’m not sure a lot there knew who he was but we definitely knew and it was sensational. A definite highlight of the trip.
