Your Music Radar Celebrates It’s 1st Birthday

Well, a year is a very quick time in the life of a music blog website. A year ago it was probably just us reading this site, the posts, tweeting into the darkness. However, we can say that we are now definitely getting a plentiful amount of visitors, which means we must be doing something right….hopefully.

It took a bit of time to find our feet but since around September last year, we’ve definitely gone from strength to strength and have been getting some great up and comers and unsigned artists and DJs on our site plus some well knowners and getting their amazing tracks onto Hype Machine, Shuffler FM and We Are Hunted through our feed links too.

Thanks to everyone who has been reading this site over the last 12 months, whether you’ve been a one click wonder or if you’ve been returning for more music joy. Thanks to all those too who have been sending their tracks through to us. We’ve found some fantastic new artists, bands and DJs through this medium and we can’t wait for the next 12 months and what it has to offer Your Music Radar.

A special thank you too to CodeNameMax who built our site for us and helped us create YMR. If you want to take your website or blog to the next level, we suggest you check them out here at

We’re going to be hitting SXSW in Austin in just over a weeks time and we’ve got a lot of interviews lined up with some up and coming bands and some great artists. We’ll also be reviewing as many artists and bands and gigs and just about as much as we can physically absorb, so you’ll definitely get a bit of a SXSW feel going on in March on our site.

We’re doing a bit of a road trip before we hit Austin, so there may be some intermittent posts coming up but we’ll make sure that we keep you up to date with all the great tracks that are happening around the globe.

Bring on the rest of 2012!!!

Cheers from the folks at Your Music Radar.
